كان قرص المؤشر الخاص هذا يُستخدم في معظم المطابع للإشارة إلى السرعة قبل ظهور نظام CPTronic في منتصف التسعينيات. وكان غالبًا ما يتم تركيبه بجانب مقياس الفراغ في الغطاء الموجود على جانب محرك التغذية.
